Big Sky

After a quick drive through the Idaho panhandle we made it to Montana! It truly is big sky country. It is also home to beautiful waterfalls, one of the best national parks and the northern end of the Missouri River. You could spend a lifetime exploring this state.

We had our most epic wildlife encounter at Glacier National Park. While hiking the Skyline Trail we came face to face with a magnificent bighorn sheep! This seemingly ancient creature calmly walked up the trail toward us as I snapped photos of him before quickly getting out of his way.

Dear Jessica (from your mom’s friend from Gaithersburg)
I am always looking on this website for more wonderful pictures and descriptions of your amazing adventures with Phil. They always make my day……..your photography is so incredibly beautiful as to be almost “other worldly.”
Loved reading that you spent two weeks with your mother, hiking……she must have loved that a great deal!
Thank you for this tremendous website…….it is a great gift to the rest of us who are making these travels vicariously with you.
